Back in November, I had a very special client, who needed a very special outfit for a very special event. She offered me smiles and kisses as payment and I just couldn’t say no. My youngest daughter turned 1 – a milestone, which we celebrated among family and friends with Alice in Wonderland-themed brunch. For the occasion, I baked a cake, and designed a romper with a removable tutu out of blue satin and tulle, all of which were inspired by the original Disney movie. I wanted to make sure the design was not only pretty, but also practical and functional. The airy, puffy tutu made for some beautiful pictures, but once removed, my baby was free to roam around in her romper while still looking stylish. And even though, things got messy while enjoying the cake, the satin fabric was super easy to clean afterwards. Suffice to say, my client was more than happy with the outcome, and enjoyed her special day to the fullest. 😊
